Lower game tree complexity since the game length is about half, although the branching factor is substantially higher. But I personally don't consider any of those a good measure on how difficult or easy a game will be for computers. Planetwars is probably a good example of why. While I haven't figured out the actual numbers I'm sure its branching factor and game tree complexity are pretty high up there. Yet it is significantly easier to write quite good computer players for.
As far as difficulty to write a good computer player for Arimaa. My completely subjective opinion is that it falls between Chess and Go in difficulty. Probably landing closer to the Go end of the scale.
