[New Language]F# starter package (request/suggestion)

Hi guys,

Is it possible to install F# in the contest servers ?

Attached is a simple F# bot that could serve as starter package.

Thanks.

You are awesome. I will attempt to add support for F# at the earliest opportunity, using your bot as the starter package.

Hi Jeff,
I would love to try with F#, is there any prognosis on adding it to allowed languages list?

I too would love to give F# a run. Seems like since C# is supported it shouldn't be a long shot to get F# supported. I can help out if needed.

I'm actually interested in using F# in conjunction with C#. I'd use C# for the I/O and parsing code and F# for the bot logic itself. I'm not an F# wizard so I don't know that I can lend much of a hand, but I'll do whatever I can to make this happen. I'm actually considering using the Mono-compliant F# compiler to create a DLL and then load that when the Main() function in the C# code starts up.

Maybe I should write an alternate starter package for this approach?

Just a minor note but this seems to be the only language starter pack that appears to explicitly not correctly handle comments in the game data properly. Admittedly though I know no F# so I might simply be misunderstanding the code.

Do we have an update on F#? Is it going to supported?

I'd really like to write my bot in F#. But I'm not going to start on an F# version until it's supported.

If there are any technical issues preventing this from moving forward, I'd be glad to help out.
