Is it possible to use the code already written to simulate a turn in the game?

Basically, I want to be able to see what the world will look like after a few turns. I'm using C++ and I haven't delved into it too deeply but it looks like one of the java tools does all the actual work and the C++ libraries just output some text.

If there is no way to do this I could write some of my own code to figure out where all the fleets are going and what the scores will be when they get there but it seems like extra work

An unofficial python starter kit does that already for you
