He mentioned on IRC that he was fixing a few small bugs. The impression was that it wasn't a huge upgrade.

Well I, for one, am glad he did release version 3, it left me at number 1 in the rankings for a short time.
Sadly being in the UK I was asleep and never got to see it

Watching his bot in action inspired a lot of good development ideas and gave us all something to aim at. I really hope that xathis wins the competition. Having said that, I suspect there were several really strong last minute submissions, so it will be really interesting to watch the results come in.
