Help with testing/debugging

Postby biscuitman42 » Tue Feb 16, 2010 1:55 am

Hello,

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am having some difficulty testing out my bot's code. Is there anyway to run a debugger (like GDB) or at least be able to read a "Cout << " from my bot's file?

So far the only way I have to test out my code is to have it decide which direction to move depending on the value of certain variables, etc... Not very efficient or useful.

I am writing my bot in C++ and would sincerely appreciate any clues.

Thanks for your time!

You can always output to stderr or write to a file.
Though, remember to do this locally only.
