How to use input files

Postby akrewTik » Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:14 am

Hi,

I am wondering if i could "replay" the same game with a different bot.
For example, my bot plays a game and i want to correct some things and test my modifications within the same context than the last game.

Can i tell playgame.py to take the input saved using "regenerate game input for one bot" ?

Is it possible ?

Thank you very much !

0.replay is a JSON file for the visualizer. You want to load the game in the visualizer (eg replay.html) and use the button at the bottom of the right toolbar which will extract the bot input sequence. It will open in a new browser and you can "save as".

Ok ! I see, so adding "< game_logs\0.bot0.input" will replace the regular input by the file datas.

And like this i can replay at vitam eternam the same game to check why it's crashing ! Seems really interesting.

So bad, that i discovered this ai challenge too late :/, it's so interesting :D

Thanks for your replies guys :)
