We need symmetrical maps in order to make the ranking system easier, or else we need to alter the competition match-ups to happen in pairs.

Nobody wants to be screwed over by always randomly getting the "weak side" on asymmetrical maps!

That's my first concern here.

The vote is quite pointless. I suspect most people in the top 100 will be against such a major change so late in the contest and will vote for the current maps. Everyone else (and that is the majority) will vote for new maps just to see some variety and have more opportunity to beat bots in the top 100.
